This list is for reference and is updated regularly. Inclusion does not guarantee USCIS will credit the result - assess independence, reach and reputation. This is not legal advice.
The catalogue gathers journals, awards, associations and conferences that turn up in real cases and community discussion, tagged by criterion and level. It answers "where do I even look", not "what will be accepted".
Use it from the criterion, not from the list. For membership what matters is whether the association requires outstanding achievement and who judges that; for awards, the level of selection, the jury and the number of candidates; for publications, the outlet’s editorial standing. That is the second half of the proof, and it is the half most often left out.
Some organizations in the catalogue appear in paid-placement and paid-award price lists. Those entries are marked: paid participation formally exists but is not recognition, and an officer tells the difference.
Distilled from the public community chats, anonymised; corpus as of June 2026. These are participants' observations, not legal advice and not USCIS statistics.
