Organiser
The awards are administered by Community Management LTD (England and Wales) for the E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Association (ECDMA).
Country
United Kingdom: the organising company is registered in London.
Geography
Open to participants worldwide unless a category sets geographic limits.
Frequency
2026 cycle: nominations January 12 - April 30, judging May 1-30, winners announced May 31, 2026.
Entry fee
Personal categories are free; corporate and product categories cost 300 EUR per nomination (until April 12, 2026), 500 EUR in the late period.
How winners are chosen
Judges score each criterion 1-10 with weights, giving 0-100; a winner needs at least 80 overall and 8 on the main criterion, otherwise the category has no winner.
Jury
The jury is invitation-only, with the ECDMA Council making the final decision; the judges page shows 72 profiles.
How jurors are chosen
Judges are invited only: there is no open application, only an expression of interest. Candidates who are not ECDMA Senior members typically need 3 of 8 criteria; the ECDMA Council decides.
Categories
About ten category groups (business, campaigns, agencies, content, MarTech, professionals, teams and more); each category has one winner or none.
  • Judges work unpaid; after evaluating at least 80 nominations a judge may request a reference letter and a digital certificate.
  • The judge letter and certificate are paid: 269 EUR for non-members of ECDMA and 90 EUR for members; a printed certificate and a ceremony ticket cost extra.
  • Each nomination is scored by several judges assigned by expertise after a conflict-of-interest check.

What officers look at: 8 CFR 204.5(h)(3)(iv) - whose work was judged and how it is documented

ECDMA Global Awards (jury) counts under the awards criterion if it is given for merit in your field, not for participation: the officer looks at selectivity and the awarding body.

Why "Awards" gets refused

Accepted in 14% of challenged petitions (25 of 184); not an approval rate.

The award itself is not shown to enjoy national or international recognition. Officers assess the prize itself, not merely the fact that you won it.
