Lioubov Seliavski

Любовь Селявски

Lioubov (Luba) Seliavski (The Law Office of Luba Seliavski, PLLC, Virginia Beach) is an immigration attorney who helps with the talent visas O-1, EB-1A and EB-2 NIW, as well as employment and family cases. Per community feedback she runs the case personally: she reads the documents herself, writes the recommendation letters and decides what to emphasize, and sends the petition for your sign-off before filing with USCIS. There is a confirmed EB-1A approval with no RFE and experience with O-1 renewals. Things to watch: only the attorney herself speaks Russian, correspondence with the paralegal and administrator is in English; replies are sometimes slow - it helps to cc the team.

  • Positive from the community (Telegram)10/3/2023

I wrote up my EB-1A case in detail: at the very first consultation she said everything looked great, let's work. We took two consultations, signed the agreement, the fee was 8,600 dollars, paid 50% up front and 50% before filing. The attorney herself converted the salary from the Russian documents and reflected it correctly in the petition.

  • Positive from the community (Telegram)10/3/2023

Filed as a research scientist; the EB-1A approval came with no RFE. The attorney selected the documents herself, wrote the recommendation letters herself, and sent the petition for sign-off - I added many clarifications and all of them were included.

  • Positive from the community (Telegram)8/18/2023

Got the long-awaited O-1 approval. The experience with Luba Seliavski was excellent: she replies to emails quickly and to the point, agrees to a call when needed, and helps sort out unclear situations.

  • Positive from the community (Telegram)10/22/2022

She did my O-1 and then two renewals. The work went fine and the case was carried through to a result.

  • Positive from the community (Telegram)10/22/2022

The first time, Luba Seliavski did my O-1 through one petitioner company; later there was another issuance and two renewals in total through a different company - and the second time it came out noticeably cheaper and faster. The work went fine and the case was carried through to a result.

Negative (4)

  • Negative from the community (Telegram) unverified8/12/2025

I was considering her for an EB-1 while still building up criteria, but there is little detailed public feedback on her, mostly personal stories from the chat. The tip people give most often: write to several attorneys at once and cross-check their profiles, because not everyone replies, and not quickly.

  • Negative from the community (Telegram) unverified2/26/2024

On my first inquiry for a consultation I got no reply. A tip from the chat: write to several attorneys at once and check them on avvo.com.

  • Negative from the community (Telegram) unverified10/3/2023

On the downside: there were times the attorney did not reply to emails right away. It helped to cc the paralegal and administrator from the start - then there was always a response.

  • Negative from the community (Telegram) unverified10/3/2023

Only the attorney herself speaks Russian in the office, so all other correspondence - with the paralegal and administrator - is in English. Worth factoring in if your English is shaky.
