Key answer
The builder assembles a recommendation letter structure from your answers and evaluates how strong it is. This is a framework to adapt - the recommender should explain everything in their own words.
When to use
When you are preparing recommendation letters and want them to be specific, verifiable, and independent rather than generic praise.
How to use
Fill in the fields: who the recommender is and why they are credible, how they know you, the specific contribution, its significance, independent corroboration, and contact details. Then run the quality check - the tool will evaluate the letter across 7 criteria and suggest what to strengthen.
Why this matters
Letters without the author's contact details, without independent corroboration, or with vague language carry little weight. Do not submit identical letters from different people. You can add the letter to the evidence organizer.
A community member explains why it matters how exactly the letter addresses the officer and how independent it appears:
they are evaluated comprehensively - both the content and the form of the letter, how the authors learned about the beneficiary's reputation, and how independent the evidence is.

From community discussions
«You can't file on your own behalf if you're the sole founder of the company. Your own company has to be the one filing for you.»

«If you're the founder yourself and there's basically nobody else in the company, you need to at least set up a board of directors that has the authority to hire or fire you, that is, so your employer is distinct from you.»
Eugene · from public community chats
«That's what I did. My cofounder is my nephew and of course he couldn't care less what I do. You can be/live anywhere and register a company here. And yes, that's the whole catch, your cofounder has to have the ability to fire you, otherwise your position is sort of not genuinely an employee one.»
