Tools: Guide to All Interactive Helpers

What each project tool does, when to use it, and how it connects to the criteria and knowledge base. All tools are free and work without registration.

Key answer

Interactive assistants are useful when the knowledge base explains a principle, but you need to apply it to your own case: counting satisfied criteria, checking a specific publication, creating a letter framework, or breaking down an RFE response by request items. All project tools are free, work directly in your browser, and do not send anything without your permission. This page is a map showing what each tool does and when to use it.

Tools do not replace case analysis

Each assistant works according to the rules and analyzed cases, not by predicting an officer's decision. Each has its own page with a breakdown of what it checks and what it does not do.

From community discussions

  • «Definitely respond to the RFE: gather up the references, often it's because of incorrect formatting (in the PDFs you need to make hyperlinks at the bottom of each page). The RFE states point by point what and how needs to be fixed, just go through all of it.»

  • «At my consulate they nitpicked at the fact that in one place we wrote My Device Inc instead of My Device, when it was about the period when the company wasn't registered yet, and they started pressing that we were thereby misleading them. So they really do look even at such small things.»

  • «If you're planning to hire a lawyer, then first find out whether your friends in America agree to such an adventure. Because all the effort could turn out to be useless.»
